On behalf of the government, the National Property Board of Sweden (SFV) manages our common natural and cultural heritage. We manage a variety of state-owned properties – including government buildings, courts, castles and royal estates, theaters, museums, embassies, as well as one-seventh of the country's area consisting of forests and land. As employees, we are proud to work for an authority, operate based on the state value foundation, and contribute to positive societal development.
SFV Uppsala manages state buildings in northern and central Sweden. Castles, residences, university buildings, fortresses, etc. are included in the property portfolio. Examples include the Dean and Consistory House in Uppsala, Umeå County Residence, Vaxholm Fortress, Arholma Nord, among others. Approximately 25 employees work within SFV Uppsala.
Do you value working with unique buildings that have a history? Do you appreciate older buildings with new technology? Then you could be our technical manager.
Your Role
As a technical manager, you are responsible for long-term maintenance planning to ensure the economic and cultural-historical value of the properties. In collaboration with property managers and the operations organization, you initiate, investigate, and prepare directional and decision-making materials for maintenance and renovation projects. You will then be responsible for the implementation of the projects and act as project manager. Your responsibilities include budgeting, planning, procurement, coordinating, and following up on the projects.
You will also work on follow-ups regarding property owner-related inspections such as fire and energy.
You will closely collaborate with the other technical managers in the property area, property managers, operations organization, and other support resources.
The buildings have significant cultural-historical values, which require careful and gentle handling to preserve them for the future. Modern functionality, comfort, and technology are important aspects, and we continuously work on energy efficiency, long-term sustainability, and technical improvements.
Business trips within Sweden occur regularly.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a university degree focused on property management and construction projects, or you have acquired similar knowledge through practical experience in the field. You also have:
- several years of experience working with property management in the role of technical manager or a similar role,
- experience in budgeting for planned maintenance,
- experience in procurements governed by LOU,
- knowledge of laws, regulations, and other requirements related to property owner responsibilities and contract law,
- good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written,
- a valid driver's license (B) as business trips are required.
It is advantageous if you have:
- experience with buildings that have cultural-historical value as well as
- knowledge of property automation.
We place great importance on your personal qualities. As a person, you are unpretentious and good at collaborating. You have a structured and businesslike approach where you can see both the big picture and the individual customer values.
How to Apply
To apply for the position, we ask you to attach your CV and answer a number of selection questions based on the requirements profile. In the first selection, we will only consider your CV and your answers to the questions. We wish for you to respond concretely and concisely, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV.
